How Not To Fill a Skip: Overfilled / Overloaded Skips

Over loaded skipOverfilled skip

Although this isn’t one of our skips, I came across this picture of someone who has obviously underestimated the size of skip they should have hired.

Whilst we do take all the waste material you see in this skip, we definitely wouldn’t take this one!

I can’t imagine what the driver must have thought when he turned up to collect this skip…

At least he’d have something to sit on whilst pondering how to explain to the client that it was slightly overfilled.

I think this would probably go down well as an exhibit in the Tate Modern, but it certainly wouldn’t have made it back to the depot in its current state.

There is a “fill” line on the side of the skip but I’m guessing the client didn’t notice it!
